- Media cabinets, tables, desks and accent pieces
- Furniture built for older homes and unique room layouts
- Furniture repair, modification and upholstery support

- Painted, stained and natural finish options
- Shaker doors, shelving, drawers and hardware planning
- Clean proportions for practical everyday use
How It Works
Commissioning Custom Furniture in Fair Oaks
A good custom furniture project begins with a clear idea of the room, the function of the piece and the materials that fit your goals.
1. Share Photos and Measurements
Send room photos, dimensions, inspiration images and notes about what the furniture needs to store, display or support.
2. Choose Details
We review the size, style, finish, hardware, wood options and project scope before preparing the quote.
3. Build for the Space
The furniture is built around the intended location, with attention to fit, function, finish and long-term use.
Custom Options
Handcrafted Furniture, Cabinets and Shelving
Fair Oaks homes often benefit from furniture that feels connected to the room instead of simply placed inside it. Custom cabinets, floating shelves, storage benches, bookcases and made-to-fit tables can help solve layout problems while improving the look and function of the space.
If you are comparing custom furniture builders near you, ask about previous work, wood and finish options, expected timeline and whether the quote clearly explains materials, hardware and installation needs.
Popular Custom Furniture Requests
- Built-in style cabinets and floating shelves
- Custom media storage and entertainment furniture
- Dining tables, desks and occasional tables
- Bookcases, display shelves and small-space storage

Sebastian was Honest, informative, very caring and knowledgeable about the issue with my recliner sofa. He did a video call with me and walked me through troubleshooting and finding the problem, he was able to identify the issue and help me find the right replacement part. Instead of sending a technician (much more expensive), the video call was relatively easy and only required a minimal amount of technical knowledge and tools to perform the repair. Sebastian is the best!Excellent service! Sebastian was professional on time, knowledgeable and fixed my couch within minutes. I’m very satisfied with the service and definitely would recommend him!We found this company through a ChatGPT question about who to contact for an electric reclining sofa that was not working. Sebastian responded very quickly and came the following week to fix our problem. He was on time, super efficient and very friendly! I highly recommend him! DianeSebastian fixed my 2018 power recliner — the leg rest had stopped lowering. He was transparent about the diagnosis and pricing upfront, direct about what needed doing, and personable throughout. Efficient work and reasonable pricing with warranty that gives me a peace of mind. Highly recommend.Sebastian was prompt when contacted. He came the same day to consult & gave a fair repair estimate. He returned within two days and did a fantastic job. He was on time, very professional, explained everything needed to get the sofa/recliner back in tip top condition. He was also very friendly and left the site clean. I highly recommend him for any furniture repair. Rating A++Sebastian is fantastic! Showed up on-time and provided great communications! He diagnosed the problem quickly and ordered the needed parts. He scheduled a date to complete the repair and when the part came in early, he immediately set up a new appointment. I could not be any happier with the service he provided. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing sofa or recliner repairs!Sebastian did a great job at putting new cane on the back of these chairs. We had them reupholstered also. Everything went back together perfectly. These chairs had a lot of sentimental value As they were in our mom‘s house for many years before she passed.and it’s great to have these chairs back in use In our Rocklin home. Sebastian was easy to communicate with and kept us posted along the way as the job was being done. We are very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Sebastian for any Furniture Repair or restoration that you might need. I’m thinking there should be a sixth star for this reviewRecently, one of the footrests on my recliner stopped working. As the couch was still in excellent condition and we had paid a significant amount for it a number of years ago, I looked into recliner repair companies. That's when I became aware of "Number2project Sofa and Recliner Repair." Sebastian came to my home and diagnosed the problem. It needed a new motor for that side of the couch. Considering the cost of the couch at purchase, the repair estimate seemed fair and reasonable, particularly as it compared to buying an equivalent recliner at today's prices. Sebastian ordered the part and returned about a week later to install it. Because of the "heavy duty" nature of the mechanical parts involved, the repair took longer than I expected but Sebastian made sure the couch worked as good as new before he left. In addition to being an excellent repairman, I found Sebastian to be exceptionally polite, courteous, and engaging. I will have no problem recommending him to anyone I know looking for a quality furniture repair person in the future.Great service. Had a recliner stuck in open position. Was at my house within 20 minutes. Diagnosed and repaired with replacement switch that was in his truck within another 20 minutes or so. Highly recommend.Great customer ! He was here for several hours and did more work than what I paid for! You will not be disappointed!Sebastian was prompt, very pleasant and did a great job! I’d use his services again in a heartbeat!'Old School' Customer Service at its Best!" Sebastian, owner of Number2Project Sofa and Recliner Repair went above and beyond helping us in Florida all the way from California. (Who does that anymore?) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [deeper dive] I tried to get local help when our recliner got stuck in a "zero gravity" position, but when I learned N2P's subcontractor in Florida was on paternal leave, Sebastian reached out to us personally to troubleshoot and stayed with us via texts, phone calls and helpful YouTube videos to thoroughly troubleshoot the issue. When he determined the remote needed to be replaced, we ordered through him and received it. We learned where to plug it in and voila! It worked! Mind you, this remote wasn't a simple up-down remote fix it had to allow for the many independent independent moving parts and mobility settings. Sebastian and Number2Project were so patient with us and did their due diligence to assure the problem was fixed. Their website is very responsive, too. Once his "new Dad" Tampa subcontractor, A&S Professional Furniture Repair, was back online he came to our home and confirmed what was needed.Great guy— very communicative and transparent. Would recommend to anyone needing assistance.Just this week, we had our recliners/theater seats repaired by this mobile furniture repair company and we were highly-satisfied! Firstly, they offer in-home service which is a big big plus as it was hard to imagine transporting the heavy recliners. Add to that, Sebastian was highly-skilled, professional, friendly. This was most important. Quality and speed of work were good. On top of all these, pricing was reasonable. Highly-recommended.Recliner repair expert. I had the best experience ever with Sebastian repairing my recliner. I live in Orangevale. When I heard about his services I gave him a call with some questions. He called ahead and asked if he could come earlier than expected. When he arrived he was very professional. Handed me a business card and removed his shoes. My mom's lift chair wouldn't lower. He gave us different options for getting it fixed. Because my mom is on a fixed budget we went with the "work around" (switched wires) so my mom could use the chair to stand up and sit down. He also gave us a quote to have the control box replaced. Sebastian was very respectful of our decision and told us if we wanted to move ahead and order the control box to just give him a call back!
